“Light in the context of fashion”

Project accomplished in cooperation with Farolla, Sofia Design Week and The National Academy of Arts Sofia.

From May 28th till June 8th  2012, in Sofia will take place the annual exhibition “Sofia Design Week”(SDEW). In this exhibition will be presented the recent world trends in the graphics, products, and interactive design and their creators.

Farolla, as a company offering designed, made to order lighting solutions, will take place  in this exhibition, representing the exclusive luminaires of Dresslight and the dresses created from the winners of the “Light in the context of fashion” competition. The theme of this year’s SDEW is “In context” and it fits perfectly with the idea that stands behind Dresslight as a brand – to present the light in the context of fashion.

On 28th  of May at 18:30 Farolla  started this year’s SDEW exhibition by opening a light installation in its  showroom of Farolla-Dresslight ( Sofia, Ricardo Vakarini str. 10B), there will be exposed the creative and unique dresses created by the young Bulgarian students, placed In a lighting installation next to the gorgeous luminaires of Dresslight, made of the same fabrics. There also will be a photo exhibition and a video multimedia, showing the connection between light and fashion.Farolla gives an attractive opportunity to the young Bulgarian designers to start their careers in a spectacular and very fascinating way.
