We are present at the inauguration of the FAD fest and “The Best Design of the Year” in the Disseny Hub, with our design selected for the 2014 DELTA Awards: the WAKUFU family from Estudi Ribaudí.

Many of the exposed designs caught the attention of the attending public during the first day, but WAKUFU aroused the curiosity of the majority. Undoubtedly, its eastern reminiscences, the design that evokes a kimono or the different fabrics of the screens were the most talked about elements that marked an almost obligatory stop in the tour of those attending the opening.

From June 25th to July 10th, Barcelona becomes the European design capital in all its disciplines under the umbrella of the FAD fest. The opening of the exhibition “The Best Design of the Year” is the starting point to gather both professionals in the sector, students, and all those who have an interest in the world of design, in the Catalan capital.

The exhibition is open to all those who wish to visit it until the end of October. The public will find the nominees for the FAD Architecture Awards and the finalists of the Industrial Design ADI Medals for students in the same space and, in the central part of the exhibition, all of the selected Industrial Designs for the 2014 DELTA Awards, whose winners will be announced at the awards’ ceremony on July 10th and where we will also be present.
