Dresslight highlights Iván Navarro, for he has based his work on light along with a combination of different materials in his setups and artistic connotations, just like Dresslight, creators of unique, irrepressible works, with a meaning added by the use of materials that enhance, play with and bring forth light.

Navarro is a young Chilean born in Santiago in 1973, who has lived in New York since 1997 and is considered the main exponent of the notable generation of new artists from his country, who made his way in the most important museums of the American city and in the world of art.

His luminous sculptures built in fluorescent tubes, mirrors and neon lights interact with the medium, blending with it in the form of ordinary objects such as chairs, tables, supermarket trolleys, forklift trucks and hammocks, relating his work to a comfortable idea of ordinariness.
